Curacautín

The ancient homeland of the proud indigenous Pehuenche people, Curacautín province is one of the most spectacular places in southern Chile for adventuring into wild nature, with the ever-present Llaima and Lonquimay volcanoes towering over the landscape. Here you find several reserves and parks, hot springs, and increasing tourism activities, which are beginning to rival the more well-known area to the south around Villarrica and Pucón.
