Sports and the Outdoors

Ski & Outdoor Volcán Osorno. About 60 kilometers (37 miles) from Puerto Varas, Volcán Osorno is the setting for entertaining skiing with breathtaking vistas of the Lake District. The Ski & Outdoor Center on the volcano has two ski lifts, 12 ski trails with varied levels of difficulty, and a store which rents equipment and provides ski and snowboard lessons. The Mirador restaurant has a hot lunch and coffee. Daily ski passes are 24,000 pesos on weekends and 17,000 on weekdays. In summer, the volcano is a great spot for hiking and mountain biking.
