This hotel, an eclectic mix of traditional Bavarian and modern architectural styles, sits right on the lake. Most of the bright rooms have views of the nearby volcanoes, and some have their own balconies. Stylish contemporary furnishings are upholstered in tailored stripes.

I loved this hotel. My room was certainly not luxurious, but I had a comfortable bed, plenty of hot water for showers and a large, openable window overlooking the lake and the spectacular Osorno volcano. The simplicity of the room seemed to fit the locale. Best part for me was that I could open my window and get pictures of the lake and volcano at different times of the day and night. I got some great photos. The location is good, easy walk
to shops and restaurants and a good-size grocery store for bottled water and snacks. There is also a wonderful artisans shop very close to the hotel that sells reasonably priced clothing, bed coverings and other woven articles. I probably would not have enjoyed staying at the Bellavista as much if I'd had a room without a view.
