Fodor's Review

Chilean businessman Carlos Cardoen not only owns the Santa Cruz Plaza Hotel but the winery of the same name as well. This relatively new project is dedicated to producing premium red wines in the Lolol sector of the Colchagua Valley. If you've seen the hotel, you already know that Cardoen does not do things halfway, and the winery confirms that observation. In addition to the usual vineyards, stainless-steel tanks, and oak barrels, a cable car gives visitors get a bird's-eye

view of the valley. On top of the hill is a replica "indigenous village," which represents three separate Chilean native cultures: Aymará, Mapuche, and Rapa Nui. There is also an astronomical center, gastronomical center, and a wine and gift shop.
