The huge antique mirrors of Bar La Playa, just west of Plaza Sotomayor, give it a historic feel. Open since 1908, it's Valparaíso's oldest bar. Go for lunch or for drinks in the evening—in Valpo, the later the better. Things tend to pick up around midnight on weekends in January and February.
