The panoramic view from the restaurant and bar, past the lake dappled with floating icebergs to the glacier beyond, is worth the journey here. That, however, doesn't change the fact many rooms in this older hotel are almost scandalously overpriced and not very attractive, with plain, dark rooms. Ask for one of the newer rooms, which are modern, comfortable, and have massive windows onto the iceberg beach. There is a restaurant on-site that offers sandwiches and simple food; breakfast is, at best, average. The view—and it's one you're not likely to forget—can be enjoyed through the picture windows in the dining room. The hotel operates its own sightseeing vessel, the Grey II, for close-up tours to Glaciar Grey.
