Santiago Restaurants

Patagonia

Patagonia Review

Owned by an Argentine couple, this little restaurant, with its black-and-white floor and bottle-lined walls, has masses of atmosphere, and the food is good. There is homemade pasta, but this is the place to try lamb or venison. The food is simple and hearty but more adventurous than in most other restaurants in the same price bracket. Try the lamb with lentils, fava beans, and dried tomatoes in a mustard-and-beer sauce. At 3,500 pesos, the weekday set lunch is excellent value. It's open daily 10 am-1 am, with a breakfast menu in the mornings.
