Barrio Concha y Toro

Barrio Concha y Toro Review

Don't be put off by the shops selling car spares at the entrance to this intimate little neighborhood on the north side of La Alameda between avenues Brasil and Ricardo Cumming. Developed in the 1920s on land belonging to a mining branch of the Concha y Toro family—another branch founded the vineyard of the same name—its short winding streets spanning out from a central plaza have an eclectic mixture of neoclassical, art deco, and baroque houses, many of them designed by the same architects who worked on the Barrio París-Londres.
