Santiago Park Plaza Review

It bills itself as a "classic European-style" hotel. The color scheme, in rich burgundy and dark green with cream accents, extends to the adjoining Park Lane restaurant, which combines Chilean and French cuisine. Although the glass-covered pool on the top floor is tiny, it has a great view.

    Santiago Park Plaza Review

Friendly staff, and nice, if somewhat small lobby with adjoining restaurant/bar.

Typically small elevators (most I have seen in 6 weeks in Santigao generally fit 4 people or 2 with luggage).

Rooms are of average-to-kinda-big size, quite comfortable, with good amenities, but not "luxury". Good size bathrooms with combination bath/shower.

Based on 8+ years of buisiness travel in the US and Asia Pacific, 3-4 months a year on the road, better than most, but not top-of-the-line.

The pool, as noted, is small. The gym, similar. A small, windowless basement room. If two people beat you thre, come back later. The dry sauna looked new, but did not function.

Many restaurants within easy walking distance and a good grocery store right across the street in a mini-mall with a good variety of shops.

Value is based on a corporate rate, long term stay, so should be adjusted down if paying "standard rates".
