Hyatt Regency Santiago

Fodor's Review:

The soaring spire of the Hyatt Regency resembles a rocket (and you might feel like an astronaut when you're shooting up a glass elevator through a 24-story atrium). The rooms wrap around the cylindrical lobby, providing a panoramic view of the Andes. Bright-color fabrics and sprays of flowers make the rooms a cut above the rest. As you might guess from the pair of golden lions flanking the entrance, the theme is vaguely Asian, which is why two of the three award-winning restaurants are Thai and Japanese. (Senso, which is Tuscan, is also well worth a visit.) Duke's, the spitting image of an English pub, fills to standing capacity each day after work hours.
