After an ambitious restoration effort, the elegant Museum of Contemporary Art no longer has its rather dilapidated interior. On the opposite side of the building housing the Museo de Bellas Artes, the museum showcases a collection of modern Latin American paintings, photography, and sculpture. The museum is run by the art school of the Universidad de Chile, so it isn't afraid to take risks. Look for Fernando Botero's pudgy Caballo sculpture gracing the square out front.
