Rumor has it that the French owners import even their flour from France at this authentic boulangerie. The plato del dia (dish of the day) is always a tasty concoction, but equally good bets are the mixed green salad with grilled goat's cheese and the succulent carpaccio of salmon. But the tarte tatin steals the show -- large, thick chunks of perfectly baked apple atop a thin layer of pastry, served with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream. The shady terrace is lovely, but the upstairs dining room is the place for a romantic meal. If you like the baguettes, a little shop lets you take them home.
