Attendants wearing top hats usher you into the two-story marble lobby of one of the city's top hotels. Beyond the reception desk there is a string of comfortable lounge areas, including one next to an indoor waterfall. In the rear is Bice, one of the city's most memorable restaurants. The rooms are sumptuous, with doors made from handsome panels of the native blond wood called mañio and a menu card listing five types of pillows, from "very soft" to "stiff." Five executive floors have express check-in, a sleek private dining area with open bar, and an elegant meeting room.
