The first 25 floors of this gleaming copper tower—at 40 stories, it's the tallest building in Santiago—-house the Marriott. An impressive two-story, cream-marble lobby has full-grown palm trees in and around comfortable seating areas. The hotel caters to those on business trips, and if you opt for an executive room you can breakfast in a private lounge while you scan the newspaper and marvel at the snowcapped Andes. You needn't venture out for entertainment either: there are tango evenings in the Latin Grill restaurant along with weekly wine-tasting sessions. One caveat: located in a suburban neighborhood, it's a bit removed from the action.
