Fodor's Review:
Pueblito Los Dominicos is a "village" of more than 200 shops where you can find everything from fine leather to semiprecious stones and antiques. There's also a wonderful display of cockatoos and other live birds. It's a nice place to visit, especially on weekends when traveling musicians entertain the crowds. It's open Tuesday-Saturday 10:30-9:30 and Sunday 10:30-8. Next door is an attractive whitewashed church dating from the late 18th century. It's rather far from the main drag, so take a taxi.
