Backpackers and budget-conscious families can ask to block off one of the four- or six-bed dormitories at this excellent hostel, opened in mid-2006. The basement has a well-equipped kitchen and pleasant dining room with three large tables and a television. Older kids love the pool table in the ground-floor lobby/common room. The location—opposite a subway station in the heart of Bellas Artes, surrounded by museums, cool cafés, and restaurants—is hard to beat. They also rent stand-alone apartments nearby.
