Parque Nacional Bosques de Fray Jorge

Seemingly defying the logic of El Norte Chico’s otherwise barren landscapes, Parque Nacional Fray Jorge is a lush cloud forest formed by a unique microclimate. Calling this desert oasis home are the chungungo, a South American sea otter, Humboldt penguins, and the Andean fox as well as almost 300 endemic plant species.
