Getting Here and Around

Ovalle is about an hour from La Serena directly via Ruta 43. A 15-minute drive on Ruta 45 out of Ovalle will take you to the Valle del Encanto; just beyond that to the west is the intersection with the Pan-American Highway (Ruta 5). Many buses make daily trips between Ovalle and Santiago (five hours) or La Serena (one hour).
