Every town in El Norte Chico celebrates various annual events, such as the days honoring certain patron saints. One fiesta that you should not miss is Andacollo's Fiesta Grande de La Virgen, in which some 150,000 devout pilgrims converge on the small town to celebrate its miraculous statue of the Virgen de Andacollo (December 23-26). Also in Andacollo, the more subdued Fiesta Chica takes place the first Sunday of October.
