Getting Oriented

It's nearly impossible to get lost on Easter Island. It's just 22 km (14 mi) from end to end and has only three roads that fan out from Hanga Roa: one crosses the island northeast to Anakena beach; another curves along the southeastern coast before turning north and then west to Anakena; and the third, a dirt track, snakes up the Rano Kau Volcano to the southwest of the town.
