Vale Monumental do Ceará

Ecological parks and huge monoliths fill the Vale Monumental do Ceará (Monumental Valley), an area of nearly 247,100 acres of sertão a two-hour drive over good roads from Fortaleza. Activities include mountain climbing, biking, hiking, horseback tours, paragliding, hang gliding, geology treks, and birding (400 species of birds have been identified).
