Sinagoga Kahal Zur Israel
Sinagoga Kahal Zur Israel Review
Opened in 1641, this synagogue was the first in the Americas. All that remains of the original sanctuary are the walls and the ground, which can be viewed through glass floor panels. An excellent museum provides explanations of the Jewish experience in Brazil. Some guides speak English.
