Catedral de São Pedro dos Clérigos Review

The facade of this cathedral, which was built in 1728, has fine wood sculptures; inside is a splendid trompe-l'oeil ceiling. The square surrounding the cathedral is a hangout for artists, who often read their poetry or perform folk music. It's lined with many restaurants, shops, and bars. A museum has exhibits on Carnival and an art gallery.
