Avenida Paulista is the home of many banks (generally open 10-4), including Citibank. For currency exchange services without any extra fees, try Action. In Centro you can exchange money at Banco do Brasil and at Banespa. Several banks have automatic-teller machines (ATMs) that accept international bank cards and dispense reais.

Some banks accept only cards with Visa/Plus logos and others accept only cards with MasterCard/Cirrus logos. Banco24horas ATMs usually accept all cards, including American Express.
