Fodor's Review

Pau-brasil, the tree for which Brazil was named (the red dye it produces was greatly valued by Europeans), is among the specimens to be found at Manequinho Lopes, where most of the plants and trees used by the city are grown. The original nursery was built in the 1920s; the current version was designed by Roberto Burle Marx.
