This museum dedicated to São Paulo-themed photography opened in 2012 on the site of Casa No. 1, named for its original address in 1689. The 84,000-image collection, which traces the city's expansion and increasing complexity, includes flashbacks to the days when nearby park Vale do Anhangabaú hosted ceremonies for the rich and regal. Neighboring attractions such as the city museum and Páteo do Colégio speak to São Paulo's earliest foundations, but the Casa da Imagem
captures the its contemporary composition.
