Museu de Arte Contemporânea

Fodor's Review

The Museum of Contemprary Art expanded its Ibirapuera presence in 2012 by renovating and moving into the six-floor former Department of Transportation building. Now shorn of its bureaucratic coldness, the space ranks among the Parque Ibirapuera's architectural highlights. The museum already has moved much of its 10,000-piece collection, including works by Picasso, Modigliani, and Chagall, from its facility at the University of São Paulo. One of the museum's most captivating visuals is the panoramic view of the park and its environs from the rooftop terrace.
