Photos of old São Paulo, a winding wooden bannister, and antique light fixtures transport Café Girondino's patrons back to the trolley-car era. On the ground floor is a coffee shop known for its espresso drinks and the wildly flavorful Miguel Couto (ice cream, espresso, bourbon, whipped cream, and cinnamon). Typical café fare and mouth-watering desserts are also served—the arroz doce (rice pudding) is among the city's best. A saloon occupies the second floor,
and a full restaurant is on the third.
