Every weekend 10-7, this plaza hosts a sprawling Asian food and crafts fair that exhibits São Paulo's eclectic cultural mix. You may see, for example, Afro-Brazilians dressed in colorful kimonos hawking grilled shrimp on a stick. Several religious celebrations are held here, like April's Hanamatsuri, commemorating the birth of the Buddha. Apart from the fair and special events, the only other reason to visit this square is to stop by at the nearby Japanese shops and restaurants.
