Fodor's Review

A snug bistro on as secluded a street as you're apt to find in São Paulo's hip southern neighborhoods, Enoteca triples as a wineshop, restaurant, and live-music venue. Marble-top tables fill two rooms brimming with bottle racks, bookshelves, and bullfighting posters. Friends and thirtysomething couples toast each other with an international array of wines, many from France, Spain, Italy, and Chile. The kitchen's specialty is a risotto with wine-braised beef whose taste more than compensates for its plain appearance. There's a $R15 cover for live tango, jazz, and flamenco music from Wednesday through Saturday night, but it's well worth it.
