Fodor's Review

Humble-looking Degas owes its more than 50 years in existence to word-of-mouth among the residents of São Paulo's western neighborhoods. Its famed filet mignon Parmigiana has gained near-legendary status, attracting foodies from across the city. The dish, along with almost anything else on the menu, easily feeds two, if not a family of four. Even the salads seem to be small vegetable gardens on a platter. Lunchtime usually brings a business crowd. Dinner, when the restaurant fires up its pizza ovens, is more of a family affair.
