At this sobrado (colonial house) in the Pelourinho, Bahian food is lighter than in most restaurants. Try the badejo (grouper) in ginger sauce. The roasted leg of lamb is a great choice if you want to depart from seafood. Entrée servings are more than enough for two.

A beautiful setting, request a table in the courtyard. We ordered a moqueca (shrimp & fish, sem dende) which was served in a tagine. Very flavorful and beautifully presented. For dessert, the folhado de bananna. Very good, but the clove overpowered the cinammon. Nice, reasonably priced wine list. We would return.
