Fodor's Expert Review Casa Cool Beans

Rua Laurinda Santos Lobo 136, Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, 20240–270, Brazil Fodor's Choice

American expats Lance and David opened Casa Cool Beans in 2010, determined to raise the bar for accommodations in Rio, and their guests rave about the attentive service, chill atmosphere, and gorgeous decor. The converted colonial mansion, painted a resplendent purple, is set over three floors separated by leafy outdoor spaces complete with sundecks, and the rooms are tastefully appointed and decorated with artworks (many of them available for sale) by gifted local artists.
