Casa Cool Beans Review

American expats Lance and David opened Casa Cool Beans in 2010, determined to raise the bar for accommodations in Rio, and their guests' raves about the attentive service, chilled-out atmosphere, and gorgeous decor testify to the high level of success. There's not a leaf out of place or a speck of dirt to be seen, and Lance, David, and Sergio, the manager, go out of their way to provide tips and touring advice. The converted colonial mansion, painted a resplendent purple, is set over three floors separated by leafy outdoor spaces complete with sundecks. The rooms are tastefully appointed and decorated with artworks (many of them available for sale) by gifted local artists. The pool has views over the scenic, bohemian Santa Teresa neighborhood, where many of the artists live. The lavish alfresco breakfasts are a high point of a stay here.
