Miam Miam

Miam Miam Review

Blink and you could miss this hip Botafogo eatery housed in a tiny white colonial building and furnished entirely with pieces from the 1950s to the 1970s. The French–Brazilian owners have created a relaxed, casual dining space where they prepare hearty portions of tasty comfort food. The fettuccine with mushrooms, roasted garlic, and lime is a treat for vegetarians, and the fish and meat dishes are unfailingly good. Leave room for dessert: the hot chocolate mousse with mango ice cream is an indulgent treat. The relaxed vibe and kitsch decor ensures Miam Miam's popularity with Rio's bohemian crowd, and the award-winning cocktail list includes the basel julep, a vivacious concoction of rum, tangerine juice, and basil.
