Another cross-city bar chain, Devassa—the original and arguably the best branch—is notable for its house-brand beers, including delicious pale ales and chopp escuro (dark beer). The bar also has a great menu of meat-related staples and lighter bites as well as a lunch buffet. With a plum location a couple of blocks from Ipanema Beach, it's a popular post-beach hangout for sociable locals.
