Ouro Verde Hotel Review

Since the 1950s this hotel has been favored for its efficient, personalized service. Quirky touches such as the huge art deco reception desk, enormous gilt-framed mirrors, and reading room with antique furnishings give this hotel an air of old-time decadence, while the modern bar, which features DJs and live music several nights a week, brings things up to date for younger guests. The quiet beachfront location, at the Leme end of Copacabana, is excellent, and the prices are low for Avenida Atlântica, although it should be noted that some of the fixtures and fittings are a little past their prime. All front rooms face the beach; those in the back on the 11th and 12th floors have a view of Corcovado.
