Porto Bay Rio Internacional Review

All rooms at this Copacabana landmark hotel have balconies with sea views, a rarity on Avenida Atlântica. The distinctive black- and red-fronted hotel is Swiss-owned, and the tidy and modern Scandinavian design is one of its best assets. Crisp white decor is a trademark of the hotel, and the rooftop pool with its wood-paneled sun deck is first rate, with excellent views across the bay, and of the Corvovado and the Christ statue. The hotel attracts a well-to-do clientele made up of business travelers and holiday-makers alike; all guests are welcomed with a glass of Champagne.
