Fodor's Review:

Of the leading Copacabana hotels, the 37-story French-owned Meridien is the closest to Centro, making it a favorite of business travelers. Rooms are soundproof and have dark-wood furniture; at this writing, standard rooms could benefit from an update. The hotel has a complete executive center. The restaurant, Le Saint Honoré is one of the city's best; the piano bar is lively at night.
