Bustling crowds feast on tamales, enchiladas, and other Mexican favorites until the last customer leaves. Tequila has garnered quite a following in Rio, making Guapo Loco one of the favorite Mexican places thanks to its good margaritas.

I really enjoyed this mexican joint over in Leblon. The food's great and cheap, especially on weekends where they have an all-you-can-eat buffet with a wide variety of goodies. I didn't run into any other mexican restaurants around Rio (and trust me, I looked), so I imagine this is the one to go to. You better skip breakfast if you plan on spending an afternoon here!

I had heard of Guapo Loco last time I was in Rio, but never had the chance to go. People told me it was a mexican food restaurant and something else. Well, I tried this place last night with my buddies and really enjoyed it. It looks much like a mexican restaurant yet a tad more refined. They serve plenty of drinks and the food´s way awesome (we were eating til we almost burst). They also have a place where you can dance inside, and while at first that seemed strange, when we saw these girls dancing, it all made perfect sense. We went back on a weekend and they were serving an all-you-can-eat buffet, for dirt cheap! Totally worth the trip so check this place out!
