In the heart of Ipanema, this hostel, opened in 2005, has double and quadruple rooms and is on a par, in terms of quality of rooms and service, with many more-expensive hotels. You must rent bath and beach towels. The bedrooms, shared bathrooms and public areas are all sparkling clean, and there is security on site all night. It's just a few blocks from the beach and Ipanema's best restaurants and shopping. The hostel organizes many city tours and ecological tours for its guests (not included in nightly rate).
