Fodor's Review:
A network of narrow streets and alleys centers on this pedestrian thoroughfare. The area is flanked by restored 18th-century homes, now converted to offices. The best known is the Edifício Teles de Menezes. Once a functional aqueduct and the source of water for downtown Rio, the Arco do Teles, links this area with Praça 15 de Novembro.
