You could be walking into a Marriott in any part of the world, which is a comfort for some and a curse for others. Expect spotlessly clean rooms and public areas, an efficient English-speaking staff, and the most modern (and expensive) services and facilities available. Despite the enormous lobby, rooms here are smaller than at most Marriott hotels. Some have views of Avenida Atlântica and Copacabana, others look onto the interior atrium. Business travelers are the Marriott's bread and butter, but thanks to its location—the front door spits you out onto Copacabana Beach—it attracts quite a few tourists as well. The sushi bar ($$$) gets rave reviews.
