One block from Leblon's beachfront, this traditional Indian restaurant has a tasting menu for two, with eight portions of different dishes, a good option for a reasonable price. It can be ordered in vegetarian or nonvegetarian versions. Other suggestions are the many pulau (rice) and dhal (lentil, or pea) dishes, which may come with vegetables, coconut, fresh white cheese, or panir, and spices, or masala. You can also order à la carte. Good options for starters, the samosas are fine pastries with chicken, beef, mixed-vegetable, or potato-and-pea fillings.
