Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, constructed in 1880, was once the headquarters of the Banco do Brasil. In the late 1980s the six-story domed building with marble floors was transformed into a cultural center for plays, art exhibitions, and music recitals. It has a bookstore, three theaters, a video hall, four individual video booths, a movie theater, two auditoriums, a restaurant, a coffee shop, and a tearoom. Guided tours in English may be scheduled. It's open Tuesday-Sunday 10-9.
