Fodor's Review:
Back in the '60s, regulars Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, who wrote the song "The Girl from Ipanema," sat at tables at Bar Garota de Ipanema, then called Bar Veloso, and longingly watched the song's heroine head for the beach. They sat at the table for two near the door.
