Leblon's Rua Dias Ferreira is a real go-to street for foodies, and the upmarket bar-restaurant Brigite's is a major reason why. As one might expect in body-conscious Leblon, there's an emphasis on fresh, organic ingredients, and vegetarians fare well here thanks to the emphasis on seasonal vegetables. The menu changes frequently, but seafood and pasta dishes are reliably good. The wine choices are extensive, and delicious, if pricey, cocktails can be enjoyed at the long balcony bar. Floor-to-ceiling plate-glass windows allow sunlight to flood Brigite's by day, and dim lighting creates a more atmospheric mood for after-dark drinking and dining.
