Fodor's Review

Between the upmarket neighborhoods of São Conrado and Leblon, this hotel has the most spacious leisure area in the city, with three pools, two tennis courts, and a children's playground; however, the leisure area is less than pristine, and the hotel’s location directly in front of the sprawling favela of Vidigal may make some guests uncomfortable. This is the only hotel in Rio with a "private" beach; it's open to the public but so closed off that usually only Sheraton guests use it. Rooms are tastefully decorated, and all have balconies with sea views, although some are very limited. The lobby has a comfortable lounge with Internet access. Floors in the Towers section are reserved for business travelers. Be prepared for numerous taxi rides because of the hotel's isolated location.
