Artist Toninho Euzebio is giving Brazil a completely new look. Armed with nothing but a Moleskine notebook and a clever eye, Euzebio, an art director and illustrator, creates mashups of famous (and not-so-famous) Brazilian views and his own fanciful sketches. Trees become bouquets, dachshunds are conquered by Lilliputians, and trash cans fall in love. And, in celebration of the Olympics, Euzebio outfitted the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue with a Rio 2016 jersey.

I grew up in the shadow of the Appalachians in western Maryland. I received my B.A. in English literature from Washington College and moved to Los Angeles, where I’ve fallen in love with the gorgeous weather and abundance of food trucks.
