- Rooms are boring and the furniture in them is not up to the standard of the lobby and dining room, noise from Rua Direita's bars can be a bother

Pousada Clássica Review
Opened in 2000, this pousada is in an elegant house a few yards from the main churches and museums. One of the suites, in the front of the building, has a hydromassage bathtub. The breakfast is lavish and delicious, as is the afternoon tea. Apartments in the back are the most tranquil, but the views are not as good.
