A celebration of baroque architecture, the Church of Santo Antônio is the one not to miss in Tiradentes. Built in 1710, it contains well-preserved gilded carvings of saints, cherubs, and biblical scenes. The soapstone frontispiece is attributed to Aleijadinho. Organ concerts take place here on Friday evenings; if you can time your visit to attend one, by all means do so.
